HEALTH POLICY:
To protect our families, teachers, and their loved ones, we ask everyone to prioritize health. Please take a full health check of your child and household before each class or camp day. Do not send your child if they or any household member has had symptoms of illness such as a fever of 99 degrees or higher, cough, cold or flu-like symptoms, COVID, RSV, coxsackie, or stomach virus, or has used a fever reducer in the past 72 hours.
REFUND POLICY:
All classes and school programs are non-refundable. Once you register, your spot is reserved and materials and programming are planned around your attendance. Hugs & Bugs Club operates similarly to a community program or childcare center, and we so appreciate your understanding of all the time and preparation that goes into your child's experience with us. Please understand we are a small family owned and operated company and the principal expenses of our programs do not diminish with the departure of children during the program and consequently, the obligation to pay full program fees are required. Refunds/credits will not be given and are non-transferrable.
School break camps including winter and spring break are non-refundable. For summer camps, Sawyer collects a non-refundable 3.5% processing fee on the full camp cost at the time of booking. A full refund minus the 3.5% processing fee and a $350 non-refundable deposit per week or session will be issued for cancellations received in writing by April 1. A 50% refund minus the processing fee and deposit will be issued for cancellations received by May 1. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued after May 1, with no exceptions including illness, vacation, or emergencies.
MAKEUP POLICY FOR MOMMY & ME STYLE CLASSES:
Students may make up two missed classes per session, provided cancellation is made by 4pm the day before a morning class or at least 6 hours before an afternoon class. Late cancellations and no-shows are not eligible for a makeup. To schedule a makeup, email hi@hugsandbugsclub.com or speak with your teacher after class. Makeups must be used within the current session and cannot be applied to popup classes, school, camps, or events. If class is cancelled due to weather, all students will receive a makeup class.
MAKEUP POLICY FOR SCHOOL, CAMPS, & ALL OTHER PROGRAMS:
We do not offer makeups, credits, or transfers for missed days in our school, camp, and all other programs. Every day is thoughtfully planned and materials are prepared with each child in mind, and our incredible teachers are paid in full regardless of attendance. We so appreciate your understanding and cannot wait to see your little one on the days they are with us!
WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT:
The only thing we are intolerant of is intolerance. Hugs & Bugs Club has always and will continue to welcome everyone in our community. We will never discriminate against anyone regardless of age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, culture, who your spouse is, vaccination status, etc. Everyone is welcome in our community. We have upheld this since starting the company in 2015 and will forever uphold our values.
PRIVACY:
We wholeheartedly respect you and your child's privacy. We love to share what we do in class because they come with lots of smiles and inspiration! We regularly post pictures and how-to's on social media with hopes of sharing creativity. If at any time you would like to opt out of the picture taking and social media sharing, please let us know as soon as possible.
A Note on Sensory Play
At Hugs & Bugs Club, we believe deeply in the power of hands-on, sensory-rich learning. In the spirit of full transparency, please know that our classes and programs incorporate a wide variety of materials, including items that may be choking hazards for young children. While our teachers are trained, attentive, and deeply care about every child in their space, we are not able to control every variable in a play-based environment. Caregivers attending classes are responsible for supervising their child at all times. For drop-off programs, we ask that all medical needs, allergies, and special considerations be communicated to us in writing before your child's first day. Thank you for trusting us with your little one. We take that responsibility to heart every single day.
