Sensory Play Training for Early Childhood Educators

Turn sensory play into a structured, effective part of your teaching with tools, systems, and strategies built for real educators.

I’m Olivia

I’m the founder of Hugs & Bugs Club, a sensory play studio and Reggio Emilia–inspired preschool based in Hoboken, New Jersey. Through my work with infants, toddlers, and early childhood students, I design and lead hands-on learning experiences rooted in sensory exploration, social-emotional development, and child-led discovery.

I work with educators, schools, and caregivers to bring sensory play into real learning environments, supporting children from infancy through early childhood across classes, preschool, and camps.

My approach is grounded in real classroom application. Every strategy I teach is actively used in my own programs, helping educators move beyond one-off activities and confidently implement sensory play as a structured, effective part of their teaching.

Sensory Play in Small Spaces

Date and time to be announced.

Sensory play can thrive in any home: no dedicated playroom required. In this hands-on workshop, I will share simple, creative ways to invite curiosity, movement, and imaginative discovery into small spaces. Leave with practical setup ideas and the confidence to create joyful, developmentally supportive play with what you already have.

Have you ever left a workshop feeling like it wasn’t quite what you needed? I have. To make future workshops practical, relevant, and worth your time, I’d love to hear what topics, challenges, and resources would be most helpful to you.
